This is the second year I have stayed at the Brandywine River Hotel and again found it very enjoyable. It has a comfortable, home-y atmosphere; and the staff members are accommodating and pleasant. The breakfast included in the price offers a nice selection. The location is central to everything we had planned, and the Brandywine Prime Restaurant is within easy walking distance.

The desk person who was on her first day at the job was very friendly and informative. She had a thorough knowledge of the area and gave us lots of good information.
Well, I am grumpy about my coffee--no one had put out labels when I arrived for breakfast as to which was the real and which was the decaf! But that was quickly fixed.

My main complaint really is that the breakfast varies a lot. I've stayed there several times. More fresh fruit and earlier please. The coffee is VERY weak. Ice water and iced tea would be nice too. The beds are super comfy though and the staff is always very nice. A satellite TV guide would be nice.

The continental breakfast was a nice touch but the toasters were extremely slow and frustrating.
It would have been a nice to have a mini fridge in the room as a general amenity. They were available but with a price.

The front desk was very friendly, very professional.
The room and bed was comfortable.
The hotel sign needs more illumination, it is hard to see it at night from the main road.
I was in room 202 and could hear the people talking in room 203.
It would be nice to have a refrigerator in the room.

The hotel is in a wonderful location and has always been very nice.
We have stayed at this hotel many times and have always loved it. That being said we haven't been in about 5 years. The mattresses need replacing since they sag in the middle. The continental breakfast was really lacking and coffee had not even been made. It seemed like there was only one person there. It really pains me to write this but this was a wonderful boutique hotel and I hope they will get back there again.

I was very pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It was very, very clean. Great sheets on the bed! The rooms are well-appointed without being pretentious. I was comfortable and very happy with my room. I did not try the breakfast.
