Union Hotel

The bed was comfortable. The hotel was clean. Breakfast was good.

The door, walls, and window transmit every sound from neighboring rooms, hallway and the street. My first night I was kept up to 2:30am by rude guests next door and sirens driving down 4th Avenue. The second night I did sleep better by using earplugs and turning on the wall fan to drown out any noise. I was in Room 310.

Great location and very good hotel for the price

TV remote broke during my stay. Air conditioning very noisy.

The room was very clean with comfortable a/c. The common room in the lower level is a great addition, it allows for space to have something light outside your room. Ideal for guests staying for any length of time. Another great feature was the free breakfast at the Union Cafe, with a very friendly staff. During my stay I was able to find free parking overnight on the same street as the hotel. This was very convenient. The discounts offered at the Union Parkade would have been sufficient but we didn't have to use it.

Very small rooms with bed jammed up against the walls so we could not get in on either side.

Great location, good breakfast deal, very nice bathroom.

Lack of reading lamps and chairs was disappointing. I have never stayed in a hotel on motel room without any lamps and with as little floor space as this room.

The breakfast that's included was really good, located just around the corner from the hotel...Station Cafe'. Room was clean. We stayed just two nights and had a very busy schedule which made the very small size of the room bearable.

The room was ridiculously small. You can't even open the entrance door to the room all the way without hitting the bed. The bed takes up most of the room which made it really hard to access the closet. It was difficult to open the closet door...came home with a bruise on my hip because there's hardly any room to get around things. Also, during our last day the elevator got stuck between floors. There were seven people in the elevator. I called the front desk and told them we were stuck. Thank goodness my husband acted quickly and forced the doors open, and lifted us up and out the elevator. When we got to the front desk, no one was even on their way to assist us.
