The Castle at Swan Lake

First time staying at The Castle. What a gem. Our room was quiet and we enjoyed sitting out on our deck area (until families started arriving to BBQ and then it was like we were on stage so we just moved indoors). It was just my husband and I but this would be a perfect location for families. Our unit had everything we needed. Easy for us to jump on the highway to continue our drive to the lower mainland. The complimentary breakfast was 4 star and our dinner in the on-site restaurant was fabulous.

Too far to walk to a pub or shopping, etc. Certainly would not want to be staying on the side of the building that faces the road as I suspect they would hear some traffic noise from the highway.

The heated pool and restaurant has really good food. Of course the breakfast was really good and has a really great selection

The staff were wonderful. We enjoyed the owner's pet pig and his royal-named pets. The maintenance/pool man was such a hard worker and such a happy man which reflects on the job he has. We have a bull mastiff and a bulldog who enjoyed our pet friendly room. The host in the restaurant, I believe his name was Ronnie,who was so friendly and professional, made the best subs for our poolside lunch. Last, but not not least, the pool was superb- clean abd refreshing.All in all,we would give our stay a 10 out of 10!

The pool was great...clean and kid-toys! The room was spotlessly clean and had every convenience we could want. I loved the sitting area out the back.

This is our second visit to this property. We LOVE almost everything about this hotel. The suites are clean and modern, the bed very comfortable. Our room had a bedroom, bathroom, living area, dining area, and full kitchen - stove, oven, fridge, dishwasher and microwave oven. There is a wonderful little bistro on site that serves fabulous food! Our room this trip was at the front of the hotel, fairly close to highway 97, but we were not bothered by traffic noise at all. There is a hot tub or two, and a pool on site. The location is perfect for a quick getaway if you're northbound.

But, it's a bit out of the way for restaurants, shopping, etc. Nothing we couldn't deal with, but some may deem this a negative. One negative about the room: the vessel sink in the bathroom is too high - the counter should be a bit shorter to accommodate the sink.

The shower was weak ..I think they needed a new shower head as little water came out

I like the suites. The beds are very comfortable with quality linens and we are able to cook for ourselves if we want.

Very well equipped, spacious suite. Good breakfast. Excellent value
