We liked the convenience of location, very nice
We were there for the Toastmaster's Event and several of the meals were catered. None of the meals were great. Most of the time hot food was cold.
The pork tenderloin served on Saturday night was so tough and dry It was almost impossible to cut with a butter night.

My room was awesome-one of the nicest i ever stayed in - the food in the restaurant was very tasty andreasonable-my roon had a patio door out to the courtyard-i was very impressed with the personal care, i received from all the staff all the way to the airport

The staff was quick to provide assistance. The price was reasonable.
The air conditioning in the lobby was broken, which meant that we had to change our supper plans as the restaurant was too warm.The rooms were cool, though, which was good.
I think that it needs a "face lift" with replacement of wall paper and carpets in the rooms and replacement of bathroom sinks that are cracked (ours was) etc.. I hear that there are three new hotels coming to Thunder Bay. I think that the location of the Valhalla Inn and general atmosphere is unique and pleasing. However, the compete with the new places in town,I think that the place needs "freshening up".

Pet friendly room. Private entrance for easy access to car. Great food. Room service. Table with two chairs in the room for comfortable dining. Easy access from the highway.
