Rabbit Ears Motel is conveniently located right across the street from Old Town Hot Springs Pool and walking distance from great shopping and restaurants. I asked for rooms overlooking the Yampa River and that's what we got. This was our second stay at the motel and it won't be our last.

The location was great--right in town (Steamboat Springs) and right across from the hot springs. Considering this is a small motel, the included breakfast was also excellent, the room was clean and tidy, the bed comfortable and the staff very attentive.
I would suggest a couple of things that could improve the quality of the hotel: (1) better general lighting in the room (I like to read!); (2) an added layer of sheer curtaining at the window, because if you are on the ground floor, opening the window during the day is impossible unless you want everyone to see you inside!

Convenience sums it all up. You can walk to everything and catch the transit to the ski area. Hot springs right across the street. What could be better?

Best location in Steamboat, across from the Steamboat Hot Springs!
Breakfast could have benefited from more fruit and perhaps more whole grain offernings.

Great location. We were in the river building and enjoyed the balcony overlooking the Yampa River.
Housekeeping service was inconsistent. Forgot to resupply soaps and toilet paper on one occasion, didn't clean coffee pot on another occasion.

The front desk people were really nice, and told us about special discounts on check in. The room was clean and comfortable--even the beds, which you never know in ANY hotel. We even did the "Hotel Rescue" thing and pulled back the sheets. Spotless. Having a balcony was fabulous, even though we didn't luck into a riverside room. The location was perfect. With the exception of the movie theater, our family of 4 was able to walk to every destination.
It was great to have a fridge too, just for the drinks we brought from home.
We would definitely stay here again.
Breakfast was mediocre to poor and we chose not to eat it. I hate anything styrofoam--plates, cups, all that was available.
The room did not have a bottle of conditioner, although I could have asked for one, probably.
The hairdryer is really weak.
Obviously, if I'm going to be that nit picky, there's not much to say. I provide this info to future travelers who might rely on these amenities.
