We are fans of El Rey. We like the fact that the owners have kept the integrity, flavor, and ambiance of this historic place, while incorporating more modern conveniences. It's nice they're putting in a restaurant, which I hope will have better food than the nearby restaurants. We have never minded driving further into town from El Rey for dinner, but it would be a nice option to have. We always enjoy the outdoor hot pool and the heated swimming pool...these are great amenities....along with the wonderful privacy landscaping on such a busy street.
I realize, since our home is also adobe, that WIFI has difficulty getting through adobe walls. Our WIFI didn't work while we were there, but I'm sure if we sat out on the patios it would have.

The rooms are comfortable and clean. Ours was lovely with a little patio---near the pool. Staff was friendly and accommodating. I would definitely book here again.
