Hassayampa Inn

We loved staying at a historic hotel and the location was great, walking distance to everything! Most of the staff was nice, it was great having the fruit water in the lobby.

My parents were visiting from Florida, and we wanted to take them outside of Phoenix to see something new. My in-laws came along as well. About a week before our stay, we got a call to confirm the reservations, at the same time I opted to confirm the reservations for my parents room, as well as my in-laws room. It was discovered then that our last name was spelled wrong on the reservation for my in-laws room. The lady on the phone assured me it would be corrected. Fast forward to check-in ... it had NOT been corrected as promised. While everyone was checking in and getting settled, I went to the ladies room and when I came back, I learned there was in issue locating the reservation for my in-laws. The front desk clerk was rude and argumentative about the fact she couldn't find the reservation and there was only one room booked under our last name. I mentioned the discovery of the prior week of the name being spelled wrong, being off by one letter. Then they were able to find the reservation, but it certainly isn't proper to start of the experience with a rude front desk clerk. The room was nice, but small. That is to be expected with an old hotel, so that wasn't an issue but we reserved a queen bed and we do not feel that is what we got. The size of the bed was a full-size, the same size my teenage daughters have in their rooms, not an adequate size for two adults. I booked the same size bed for my parents, and they felt the same way. Next time we know to reserve the largest possible room!

The hotel is charming with grea historicalt "character". Location is wonderful...right on the square of Prescott. The Ed was very comfortable.

The smell as you enter the building is a bit old and musty...in character with its age, but I think something could be done. Other than that, the amenities were basic but sufficient. It's a beautiful old building.

I liked that the front desk staff called my room a few minutes after my check-in to be sure I had everything I needed in the room.

There is not anything I did not like but want to mention a couple things. The door to my room did not fully close on it's own. I had to remember to close the door to be sure the room was secure. I understand you are paying for the historical value of the property but the price was a little high.

The Hassayampa is our location of choice, hands down, when staying in Prescott.

Great hotel. Would go again.

Parking is a bit of a both. But, you get that with an historic downtown location.

All of the staff were wonderful! From check in to the bartenders to the staff who started the fire each night, to the elevator operator, everyone was fantastic! The whole experience was great! Love the location of the hotel, we were able to walk everywhere. Great time!
