Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham North Canton

It was close to our venue. It was very cute and clean. I really liked the window seat and the room divider.

Clean, quiet &peaceful

Location near the Akron-Canton Airport.

I would never stay at this hotel again under the same management. There were two problems my husband and I encountered. The first was the handle to the bathroom door - it came off in my husband's hand when he tried to enter the bathroom. A fairly large spring, perhaps from the handle mechanism, was lying on the floor. I took it to the front desk and the receptionist made a note of the room number for the maintenance staff person. The most upsetting problem, at 10:00 pm preparing for a very early wake -up at 3:30 am, upon getting into bed, was the top sheet did not cover my feet. Looking closer, the whole array of linens were put on sideways!!! On both beds!!! I had to totally remake both beds before retiring. By that time I was too aggravated to sleep right away. I've come to the conclusion that either the staff had not been properly trained, that they didn't give a damn, or were just playing tricks on the customers. Any of them are totally unacceptable. Talking to the receptionist in the early morning, I conveyed my frustration, only to get a quick "sorry". The management needs investigating. However, our experience with the Microtel in Port Charlotte, Florida in March was very nice.

Clean, good proximity to where we needed to be.

Not about the hotel, my credit card was charged well in advance of our stay, while it stated that there was no cancellation penalty. Surprised that the charge was not applied at the actual usage!

Convenient

Ther was quiet a lot of noise. We could hear the people above us and you could hear people walking in the stairwell

This hotel really is a great value for your dollar! They got Renovation of the Year last year and I can see why...very well done.

The eggs on the hot breakfast were horrid. However, in their defense...the coffee was the best I may have had at a hotel in the low to mid range category!

I wish they would have put the jacuzzi back in the pool area

We had the need to use the safe deposit box and your staff was most helpful and courteous with the process.

Everything was we had hoped for and more.

Very convenient to interstate, yet quiet; good restaurant options nearby and easy access to college/university campus for the meetings I was attending. Also appreciated the small refrigerator, microwave oven, and the nicely cushioned window seat. Good WiFi!

Automatic fan that came on with the bathroom light was very loud and unnecessary.
