Location, staff and general feel of the place.
Glasses in room are plastic, cheap plastic. I miss the glass ones.

The room was clean and appeared to be well-maintained. I liked the room colors and bed linens, the ceiling crown molding, and the bathroom fixtures, which were all well-selected. The hotel was quiet for the most part.
Coming from out of town, I missed the hotel on the first pass driving by because the sign is currently down, but I had the address so finally got there. Parking was difficult, one-way, very tight, and had to back out onto the street, rather tricky. But I managed to avoid a fender-bender, which was good. I had to keep the draperies closed for privacy because there were no sheers, and private residences were very close to the rear of the hotel.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is older but well maintained with great food and perfect location in downtown Juneau. Because the hotel is older it can be a little noisy but still worth the stay. I will stay at the Baranof again.

It was very convenient to downtown and bus service. Front desk people very helpful. They even had a discount ticket to take the local Mt.Roberts Tram. A nice touch. The Bubble Room (the bar) had great burgers and well worth the price.
The building next door was condemned and very unattractive to walk by. The room was super small and we had to ask for towels for the third person in our room. Also, sounds outside our room in the hall or next-door, were too easy to hear. There seems to be no soundproofing.

I can't think of anything......bed was comfortable.
Attitude of desk staff, the rancid bacon for breakfast, cost, noise from the street, poor service at the restaurant (waiter)...the busboy was nice

We moved from the Prospector Hotel to the Baranof- Baranof is historic and was very clean and welcoming. Staff was helpful we had a great time watching from our 7th floor room a big black bear come down two evenings to saunter through the neighborhood and into the parking lot- you sure don't get to see that everyday! Nice meal in the dining room.
Music in the bar area was somewhat too loud for a visiting with friends. I know getting old! Overall a wonderful time.

They were very accommodating as we had 1 unexpected guest.We had dinner and breakfast and they were very good and the waitress in the din rm was well informed,and very good.Thank you for making our stay so nice.

Reception area pleasing.
Friendly staff.
Good location.
Rooms nothing special, small, bathroom somewhat dilapidated. I would recommend looking around for other options.
