We came for our 17th anniversary it was wonderful. The staff was great and I love the hotel. We had a wonderful dinner and we had the lemon cake for dessert which was out of this world. Plus they let us have it on the house because it was our anniversary which was very nice of them. My grandmother's maiden name was Buxton which was kind of neat. I hope to come back this year sometime.
There is nothing I disliked about the hotel but there was this awful weird animal noise that lasted quite awhile that I had trouble sleeping and when it did finally calm down we heard snoring coming from somewhere? I don't know if we could hear the people around us or not but it wasn't my husband or myself.We stayed in the pearl house #1.

The Buxton is awesome! If you're looking for a cookie-cutter, Red Roof Inn experience, the Buxton may not be for you...
...but if you're a fan of genuinely friendly service, a unique setting and local experiences, I can't recommend it enough.

Great room and privacy, also quaint breakfast room and very relaxing in a beautiful. Also loved the area and ability to take a walk in the vicinity of the Buxton Inn.
Did request a room with bathtub, which was readily accomodated.
