Mardi Gras Casino & Resort

The breakfast buffet was the high point of our stay. When I say this however, please understand that the hotel was full and we had to wait in line for our eggs for 30 minutes or more. Many of the breakfast items ran out and then we had to wait for their refill. Breakfast took over an hour to get a complete meal. Keep in mind this was the best part of the stay. I also enjoyed the apples at check-in.

Oh so many things, let's start with the partying college students in the two rooms adjacent to ours who kept us awake. When the front desk was alerted and security sent to their rooms, they were only quiet for the following ten minutes. No decaf coffee in our room, and yes it ran out in the breakfast line too. The parking was not set-up for convenience nor the elevator. Our room was the very last room at the end of the hall on the third floor and the elevator at the other end, so there was a hike from the length of the hotel tower everytime you left you room or returned. Poor design. The slots were stingy and old. The staff in the casino, and breakfast manager were nice, but Joy I think, the front desk manager I spoke to when checking out, was apologenic when I complained about our stay, but made no effort to make it right. As I explained to her, it wasn't her lost sleep, nor money out of her pocket for the hotel stay, so that was easy for her to say. I told her we would not be back as we were leaving and we won't, our money spends anywhere.

Breakfast was included, in room safe, location.

It was extremely noisy You could hear conversations in the next room and in the hallway as if they were right in your room. We got little sleep. They made a deposit charge to my credit card upon check-in, which will be returned in a couple of days. They had a minibar in the room that was treated like Fort Knox - don't even touch it. First of all there is no need for a minibar since the casino is 500 feet away and there is also a full bar in the lobby of the hotel.

The bathtubs should have an anti skid coating or mat.

Everything was very nice, the entire experience exceeded our expections. Although the room was not luxurious it was sufficient, extremely clean and comfortable. The rooms are very convienent to the casino and restaurants. The breakfast was exceptional. I would highly recommend to any of my friends, an excceptional value.
