Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza

My husband and I spent Friday and Saturday night at the Hilton Netherland on January 25-27,2013. We had such a nice stay!My husband informed the hotel staff that it was a special occasion for us and the hotel upgraded our queen room to a king room before we arrived at no extra cost! We parked in the parking garage and check-in went very smoothly. After we settled our things in our room(beautiful- with a view of the river), we decided to take a walk around to enjoy the hotel's beauty. When we got back to the room ,there was a plate of chocolate covered strawberries in our room with a little vase of flowers and note written by Deborah from guest services, saying that she hopes we enjoy our time away together!!!!!!! How sweet of her to do that!!!!To top it off, after dinner on Friday, we got back to the room and our bed was turned down and VIP candies left for each of us, and ice filled in our bucket, and the next night the same service was provided for us! Wow! As parents of 11 children, we don't get away much,and the great service we recieved from the Hilton Netherland Plaza was over-the-top PERFECT!!!!!! We ate dinner on Saturday night at Palamino's and had a wonderful server named Thomas, who was so super friendly and made our night out so special !!!! I would recommend this hotel to anybody! It has alot of history. Don't forget to go to the observation deck to see all of Cincinnati! The bed was so comfortable and the pillows help to make a great night sleep!
