Super 8 by Wyndham Omaha Eppley Airport/Carter Lake

Location, close to Airport and right on the lake.

Lot of cigarette butts laying around.

Great bed! Haven't slept that well for awhile. Lovely view and a great walk around the lake.

Everything was great.

Close to airport

No restaurants close

Mostly the location for visiting the friends that we wanted to see.

My girls and I enjoyed the complimentary breakfast.

There were a couple of minor things - the remote control did not work and there was pepperoni and pizza sauce on the cable channel directory. One thing that was disappointing to us was that the pool had so much chlorine in it that I couldn't sit on the side of the pool to watch my kids swim because the chlorine made my eyes water and burn. Also, some of the kids that were with us were coughing a lot due to the strong chlorine smell. Therefore, we had to take the kids out of the pool early.

Our stay was what one would expect from a Super 8 motel. No frills, comfortable, and decent service. The price was higher than most Super 8s, but that was understandable give the proximately to the Omaha airport. The best part about the stay was the association of the motel to one of the parking services in the area. The convenience of that made the stay worthwhile. We plan to stay there again if we ever need to fly out of Omaha.

I liked the location and price.. I thought the accomodations would be better. I did enjoy the breakfast.. very nice...

Two things: 1) we checked in Friday night (3/15).. we spent the night .. on Saturday we left at 9:30 a.m. and returned around 4 p.m. to find our room had not been touched by house cleaning.. I had to ask the lady .. she did apologize.. but we sat in the lobby for 20 minutes while they cleaned our room.. that was a 4 p.m. 2)Saturday afternoon the internet service went down.. your router was up.. we could connect to your super 8 various access points.. but there was no internet service. I'm a technical person so I knew what was happening -- your router and the internet service were not "shaking hands".. either your router should have been reset or you have checked with your internet service provider.. the answer I (and other guests who were also tech savvy) was "you need to go to www.supereight.com".. I explained, "no.. there's no way to do this.. because your internet service isn't being recognized by your router.." I had the "deer in the headlights look" because I'm sure this person wasn't (and probably not expected to be) a computer person... she really didn't do anything.. I asked on Sunday morning the gal who was working the desk.. she understood what I was saying but was helpless to correct the situation.. so no internet from Sat late afternoon until we checked out Sunday morning...
