It was a great location for our long trip to LA. The people at check in were awesome.
No not really I was surprised to be staying at the second location next door was wanting one of the cottages in pictures. Our room was awesome though so it all worked out.

We stayed on the "new" side. Rooms are very nice, clean and bathroom was very upscale. Blinds in the room are nice from a cleanliness standpoint, but don't do such a good job of keeping light out at night. The room was quite bright due to outside lights coming through. AC worked well and breakfast was plentiful and tasty. Staff/owner was very helpful and gave me a choice of several rooms. That was appreciated and uncommon.

The El Royale is perfectly located for me. I have family in the immediate area; as a result, we were close but not stepping on each other. Also, I was able to walk to local businesses during the day. My most recent stay was essentially a working trip - the internet connection and work space were more than adequate. The hotel combines modern convenience with a vintage vibe. I'll definitely be back.

We have stayed at this hotel before and we really like it. The rooms are always sparkling clean and we love that the floors are hardwood not carpet, it feels so much cleaner. The owner is so friendly and personable. Whenever we go to Universal Studios we will always stay here.

Robert at the front desk was very nice and accommodating. His service is what stood out the most. The room was comfortable and clean. The location was great for universal studios. Overall, though we didn't spend much time in the room, it was a good place to stay.
The water pressure in the shower needs improvement. That is the only thing I could think of.
