Harveys Lake Tahoe Resort & Casino

The location was perfect right on the stateline which made it easy to go to shops or casinos.

The hotel charged a $20+tx charge per night as a resort fee. They stated that because it was a resort they charged the fee. As compensation they gave free internet (for 1 device), access to the exercise room, and free local phone calls -- none of which were needed or used. If we had know this in advance we'd have looked elsewhere and could have gotten a hotel in the area for less that the $75/night we ended paying. Then when we made a reservation for a show there they charged another convenience fee -- we'd phone down from our hotel room. The rooms were clean but the furniture was old. All in all the cost was a rip off: it felt like a constant bait and switch.
