Hyatt Centric Fisherman's Wharf San Francisco

We loved the location and the larger rooms. We used the hot tub while it was sprinkling rain and sleet, but had a great time!

The only thing I didn't like was the restroom door in our hotel room. It appeared to be broken and the door also needed some paint as it was a bit worn. Not a big deal, but you asked.

We loved the warm (Welcome!) and friendly (Happy to see you!) staff. And the hotel lobby definitely did not disappoint which usually happens when we compare to website pictures. We were so impressed with the hotel staff that we cancelled our second hotel booking and just extended/continued our stay at the Hyatt. Even that -- booking additional nights last-minute -- was completely stress-free! It was a real no-contest decision after we visited our supposed second hotel at the Wharf area. Compared to the Hyatt, we thought about their not having Mark, the best porter we could ever ask for; nor Lotis, the very helpful receptionist; nor Elizabeth, the highly efficient maître d' at the Knuckles; nor Wilfredo, our sincerely caring breakfast/food server. In other words, we will stay ONLY at the Hyatt Fisherman's Wharf when we revisit San Francisco.

On the other hand, the Concierge was not helpful at all. He looked surprised when we approached him for info because he was intently browsing at something in his laptop. And he would give short answers per question which simply tells us to just stop asking. The management should put Mark (the best staff) as the Concierge because he gives the best places to dine in and lines up the best tour itinerary for us, every single day! Another downer was the toiletries. We were expected to call the front desk and "make a request" of what we need, every night. So we just didn't bother ourselves about it though it should be standard amenities in most 4-star hotel.

The shower had tiles and they needed a good cleaning.Also I had a small cut on my leg that I got ona boat ride in San Fran. And there was 3 small spots of blood on the sheet due to it, those sheets were left on the bed 3 days...There was also bottled water sitting in the room that said refresh they replaced the water daily when getting to the desk for check out I was charged 10.00 a day for the water. Not being told by them or a sign with prices in the room that there was a charge for the water. Never has been anywhere else.For the amount of money charged for the night there should not be charges for water.
