Hampton Inn Pawleys Island - Litchfield

Everything was clean! Breakfast was a nice touch and had something for each of my family members. Beds were comfortable.

I loved the complimentary breakfast, but was disappointed in the so-called fitness room.

I was also disappointed that I did not get my usual AARP discount, so maybe I have to book the room directly with the hotel in the future.

The staff was courteous and friendly and efficient, all of which compensated for a few matters that were annoying, noted below. I am a Hilton Honors member have stayed in Hilton properties from coast to coast for years. This property was not up to Hilton standards.

The remodeling project was still incomplete, furniture in disarray in the "great room". Our room was clean and comfortable with one glaring exception. The caulking around the tub and the base of the toilet appeared to have been done by a blind or drunk but clearly incompetent person. The faucet on the tub was not completely screwed onto the threaded supply pipe. Someone eventually, inevitably, will grap that faucet to assist them in standing up from the bathtub and it may damage the person or the property or both. I grew up around painters and plumbers and know quality work when I see it; this was deplorable.
