Hilton Garden Inn Halifax Airport

We did not like the fact that there was a fixed price for breakfast. We didn't think that a coffee, juice and bagel each should add up to almost $30.00 ! When most hotels offer a complimentary basic breakfast, the cost of our Hilton breakfast left a bad taste and we will not likely book a Hilton hotel next time we travel.

Long term parking

Very disappointed to have parking charges for week - stayed at Hilton on March 18 and 26th - why pay for parking ????

We were pleasantly surprised by the restaurant service and food quality.

This is our 8th overnighter in the past 5 years at this property and i guess that speaks for itself.We have stayed also at the sister property next door,but why walk across a parking lot for dinner and a drink?The only thing,(really a person.),missing on our last two stays was Gary who is one of the shuttle drivers.The other drivers are learning well from him though and all are great guys.(he has a later shift and we have left early.)To the manager who has a fantastic background in the hospitality industry we give our congratulations an the continuing development of a great team from front desk,dining room,housekeeping and of course the shuttle drivers.You have done a fabulous job and of course we will be back.

I was pleasantly surprised about the food. I did not expect much from this type of facility but my fish waserfect.

The hotel was lovely. The staff was helpful although their communications with each other was not good. I had arranged for a porta crib when I made the reservation. I called the hotel the day before our arrival to confirm that the crib would be set up for our arrival (12:30am) When we arrived we were assured it was in the room. Well no crib. It came with in a half hour but should have been there when we arrived.
