Hotel Winneshiek

The room size was exceptional, as was the bathroom size. It was decorated in mission style furniture, which was period correct. Everything was comfortable and well done

There was only one padded chair other than the desk chair. Either a love seat or a second chair would have been nice.

It was a wonderful, comfortable stay with everything I needed.

The staff we encountered were great, especially the staff in the bar and restaurant. It was refreshing to see young people still know how to interact with human beings and not have a device hanging from their ears at the same time. They also genuinely seemed interested in our conversations. Service and food were excellent.

I hate to even bring it up but since you asked. The restaurant/bar were always too warm temperature wise. It may have just been our room but would have liked to have had a dresser in the room.

We like the central location in town.

After checking we heard several voices coming thru the wall adjacent to another room. We inquired at the desk and were immediately switched and upgraded to another room. We were treated royally!

The hotel was beautiful and we had a terrific breakfast in the restaurant. The Basler Suite was a great room to stay in.

There were a couple items about the suite that you may want to look at. The bathroom door was very squeaky. So much so that it would wake you up at night when someone had to go to the bathroom. Also, the bathroom door would not close. Additionally, the refrigerator was noisy and so it might be nice to have it away from the bed, maybe even in the closet or in a piece of furniture. Lastly, the door to the room needed to be pulled shut to lock it, so patrons may mistakenly leave it open if they don't notice or remember to pull it closed. Other than that, the accommodations were terrific.

Had an excellent stay. Great hotel. The staff was excellent.
