The staff and accommodation were excellent. The dinner was very good. We have stayed at this hotel before and were very pleased with all aspects, but as mentioned below this time did not come up to expectations.
The Breakfast was a shocker!! The cheese was a Brie (which we had to ask for as there was an empty place) The meat consisted of very moist sliced ham ( again we had to ask for as there was an empty plate) The milk bottle was empty, and so was the water. The selection of tinned fruit looked most unappetising. All in all a most unsatisfactory meal.

Clean room
Poor service at evening meal. Had to ask for glasses when served withn wine and water as they were not supplied. Food indifferent for the price.Breakfast not worth the nprice. Have stayed previously and food/ servicce much better. Very disappointing. Cost of food/drinks £74. Not worth the money.

It is conveniently located. The staff were friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our dinner.

I have stayed at this hotel many times. The provision of inroom free wi-fi is a great improvement on my last visit. The biggest change for the better was the restaurant. We had dinner there and it was excellent and the service was very good.

The hotel is ideal for the tunnel crossing and is also on the doorstep of City Europe.Rooms are light and airy and during our stay quiet.
Addition of tea and coffee making facilities would be most welcome if a stay was to be for any longer than one night.The room first allocated on arrival had a bad smell from the shower room and the window would not open.The reception staff had no hesitation in changing us to another room which was fine.If the window is left open then motorway noise can be a problem.

Room and corridor smelled of cigarettes. We complained to staff in morning when we were leaving. The smell was very strong and other guests we met in the lift also noticed it.
We accept that it is difficult for staff to stop a client from smoking in their rooms, but it is a shame as it really was exceptionally bad and must have been noted by staff. We were in room 247 which is one of the furthest away from the lifts and yet the smell was noticeable as you got out of the lift but nothing was done. Very disappointing.
