Clarion Hotel & Suites

THe breakfast was good in the morning. Nice staff and clean rooms.

The coffee wasn't free down stairs like other hotels.

The staff was friendly, courteous

The maze-like structure and the dis repancy between the rooms in the old wing (uninviting, outdated, neglected) vs the newer wing (more inviting, but drafty)

Liked the availability of a nice dining room

Wish the desk had contacted us to let us know that the fire alarm was a false alarm

It's a nice hotel if you had kids and is one of the better choices in town.. I like the hotel as I have stayed there numerous times.

There was mold in the shower along the caulking not really appealing. I mentioned it to the front desk. That definitely should be like that especially when you are paying 150 dollars a night for a room..

Everything was nice and clean and fresh smelling. The room was quiet.

The mattress is soon needing to be replaced I think and it was very warm in the room.

I could not control the heat in the room. I turned the thermostat right off and it didn't make a difference. The room was 28 C. It was way to hot to have a comfortable sleep. The room was not worth the price I paid for the uncomfortable night.

We have stayed at this hotel numerous times when we are in town with our hockey team. Two problems that seem to consistently occur are noise and temperature. We have been woken up multiple times during the night as guests return from the bar on site or from a wedding or other function. I'm not sure what would improve this. Perhaps increased security? The other problem has also occurred consistently and that is temperature control. The facility has trouble maintaining a comfortable temperature in spring and fall. We have been horribly hot at both times of year, unable to sleep and have been informed that they were unable to turn on the A/C at that time of year as it had already been shut down or hasn't been turned on. I'm talking 75 - 80 degrees. They were sleepless nights. Couldn't even leave the window open as we were on the ground floor and noise and security were issues.

KING SUITE WAS EXCELLENT. ROOM WAS VERY SPACIOUS AND CLEAN. WOULD DEFINITELY STAY IN THE SAME ROOM NEXT VISIT.
