Courtyard Melbourne West

My stay at the Courtyard Melbourne West was the perfect location that allowed me to visit all my family members while coming back to a sanctuary to rest on the awesome beds!!! Love the pillows, too!

There wasn't a single thing that my sister and I did not like. From the friendly check-in staff to the Bistro to Starbuck's, I can honestly say that we will return. Keep up the great work! Many thanks for a wonderful experience!

The room was large, the beds were comfortable, and the climate control worked extremely well (the air conditioner was very responsive to changes and was quiet).

I would have liked a continental breakfast included in the price of the room.

The dinner area was convenient and had a good selection of food and beverages for dinner.

The room layout was very nice and the locations of electrical outlets available for electronics was fantastic. Usually I have to move furniture to access them.

The stsff and cleaning people were very accommodating and friendly.

Everything was good. Can't complain about anything.

Staff was courteous and assisted with my needs.

I didn't like that they changed to a breakfast bristo and it was not included with my 4 day stay.

I appreciated having a refrigerator in the room. The room was comfortable and clean.

The check-in staff was sloppy and gave the room they gave me to a man who checked in after me. So my keys didn't work and his did. I had to go back down to the lobby and get another room. I asked if I could get a breakfast coupon as compensation, and they offered me something for dinner instead. I asked for a salad with chicken, but since it was made to order, I had to wait about 20 minutes for it. Also, where I sat waiting for it, the air conditioning was blowing very cold air on me, and I now have a cold. Also, I asked the front desk staff for directions to a Shell station, which I followed but only found a BP station. These delays made me late to my destination. I prefer to stay at a hotel which provides a free breakfast, which this hotel did not. The rooms had coffee makers but there was no way to make tea, even if you brought your own.

Lack of free complimentary breakfast that is offered elsewhere. Even bagels, cereal,etc. would have been nice. Due to this, I'd advise someone to look elsewhere. As small as my complaint is, it's important. This also makes the price less acceptable. We only stayed one night as a layover for our cruise. Now that I know the area, I will choose somewhere else. However, the rooms were nice.

Putting $20/day hold on our credit card for incidentals that will not be returned for 7-10 days!
