The service staff was attentive and gracious.
This wonderful old hotel has been sabotaged by hiring a Roadway Inn quality Interior Designer. Thank goodness the lovely bones of the building are still there. It will survive this nonsense. Please understand that good design decisions do not necessarily cost more than bad ones.

It is a very nice hotel, I have stayed and visited several times in the last 50 years and you are up holding the traditions of a fine hotel. High Tea was very good, however being seated next to the piano made it hard to converse.
I have also stayed at hotels and motels all across the country and never had to pay an additional fee for internet access. $15 to $25 per day is highway robbery.

Location was ideal. Staff helpful and friendly. Food was excellent but expensive.

I liked everything about the Fairmont Empress. The hotel staff were awesome. The room was wonderful! I will use my pink tea set from the Fairmont store forever. It's the best hotel in Victoria! Just perfect! We will visit every year. Dr. Sheryl Neely
