The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and cozy. I appreciated the in room coffee maker, T.V., desk, separate sitting area, and refrigerator. I enjoyed the country decor. I would stay at the Open Hearth Inn again.
The location of the main hotel is close to the busy road and an intersection so quite a bit of traffic can be heard from the suite. The price of the suite was reasonable and fair.

The staff was very nice and could answer any questions we had about the area and things to do. We really enjoyed having breakfast at the fire station. The owners paid for all their quest and we bought raffle tickets to help support them. The cabin was really unique and comfortable.
Maybe a little better parking but it was ok.

We had a room in the main house at Open Heart Inn. It was a two room suite with a bedroom and a living area. It was perfect. The muffins for breakfast were amazing. I would stay there again. I recommended it to a traveler I met in the airport when she mentioned she was going to Bar Harbor.

Cozy, warm room at a convenient location.
Stairway is uneven and difficult to navigate with suitcases.

We had a clean cabin with everything we needed. The coffee and muffins in the morning was a nice bonus. Would love to have the recipe for coconut muffin. They were delicious.

I liked everything, from the wonderful hostess to the room and the jacuzzi to the incredible morning muffins to the location.

Our suite was perfect! We really liked the private entrance. The decor was lovely with antiques and period details. But everything was up to date with microwave, fridge, free wifi and newly remodeled bathroom with great shower. The towels were big and luxuriously thick! It was a quick jump from there to Bar harbor and Acadia National Park where we spent our time. We will certainly return!
