Great customer service, enjoyed the heated pool, kids had fun playing basketball, the steak house was great, and the room was very quaint.

Could have used a golf cart to get up to the pool (older folks) from room 114. Also a microwave in the room.

Overall vibe, great pool. really nice staff @ the restaurant.
They only had maps of SLO - nothing of further down the coast and we needed more concierge services than the hotel supports.

Loved the quirkiness of the Madonna Inn. Our last visit was 30 years ago and our recent visit was even more fun. Loved the decor everywhere, and really loved shopping in the clothing shop upstairs.
We arrived to have breakfast the morning of our second day and even though there were several empty tables we were told that the only seating was at the bar. I insisted that we were guests at the hotel and they finally seated us at a table. They said they had a large group coming in in an hour and were saving seats for that. I thought it was a bad call on the hostess's part. Most people do not take longer than an hour to eat breakfast. Plus I think that guests paying to stay in a room should be given preference over a group coming in just to eat.

Great couple getaway.
We stayed in the Cannary Cottage and the two nights there was this thumping sound coming out of the walls. My wife thought it was a washing machine but I️ think it was the plumbing, not sure if anyone else mentioned this before. Other than that it was great.

When I made my reservation I should have requested a ground floor. I use a cane and the third floor was a hardship.

Long walk from pit hotel to pool up hill!
