The room was comfortable and clean. All staff we encountered were helpful. Breakfast was good most of the time. Good to have the facilities of a washing machine and dryer. Good to have the sports facilities too.
It was annoying that on the Sunday we couldn't have our usual breakfast as the restaurant was booked out for Mother's Day Brunch. If we had been warned we could have booked. As it was we were directed to the 3rd floor, quite a long and complicated way away, and then had a reduced service.

Really, really appreciated the great staff at Ivey Spencer. I sprained my ankle during my trip, and the desk staff was very helpful getting ice to my room (no machines, had to come from the kitchen). The dining room staff was also awesome helping me get my breakfast together without limping all over the place.
It's a converted building, so you can end up in a room a five minute walk away from the front desk. Not necessarily a problem but not a convenient layout.

We had a handicap accessible room and it was perfect for my husband. Breakfast was great as was the staff that managed it. The Manager of "The Ivey" gave us a tour of the old Spencer Hall that the ladies in our party had stayed in 50+ years ago. We stayed in Room 20 in the west wing which is now a private bar area near the gym.
Ice Machines were far away but we managed.
