The staff was attentive and always greeted us with a smile. After a long day on the road we positively loved being greeted by Aero, the resident chocolate lab. He was behind a gate at the front desk, so if you don’t care for dogs you wouldn’t have had to interact with him, but we asked if we could see him, and he was happy to oblige. Rooms were clean and comfy, and it was quiet in the halls. We had a nice view of the lake, which was a plus. We didn’t use the pool, but it looked clean. We were pleasantly surprised to find a small arcade with many vintage games. You could play a game of pinball on a ‘70’s machine for a quarter. It was a fun way to pass the time. The hot breakfast was exceptional. Many hotels that have an included breakfast turn out to be disappointing, but this meal was the best. Lots of choices, good coffee, and we left stuffed and satisfied. We need to be in Halifax in a few months and will be booking our room here once again. 5* rating from us.

The morning breakfast could include some non gluten free option as well for the meat as not everyone needs to eat gluten free for a more tasteful breakfast

We had a good stay at the hotel. Was very clean and comfortable. Good selection at breakfast and was constantly refilled. Staff was friendly..check in and out was efficent and smooth.
The only problems we had was the pool was quite cold and the hottub was not working. Was a bit of a let down.
