It's the perfect location, right on the Seawall with the two tram lines running just a block away. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was immaculate, and the ambiance of the hotel is old-world luxury mixed with modern comfort. I had a room with an ocean view PLUS a side window that overlooked the lovely front of the building.
When I drove up to check in, I was told that since I was self-parking I had to go to the garage (a block away) and bring my luggage from there. It was raining and I had two bags, so I got soaked on the way back because I didn't have an extra hand for my umbrella. I don't understand why I couldn't unload my bags and then move the car. Next time I'll pack lighter, but it's a shame they treat guests like this because it set a poor tone at the beginning of an otherwise marvelous stay.

Front desk staff were very welcoming. Bartenders were nice and made great drinks, they were so pleasant, we did not feel like we were intruding on their time.
Lower prices are always a great idea
