Close to everything . Friendlt and helpful staff, good breakfast , towels at poolside were easily accessible.
Heated outdoor pool did not seem heated. And to be extremely picky... i like to use linnen conservation, but there were not enough hooks to hang the towels on so they could dry before using them again. We had 4 people in our room and only 2 hooks. Where to put our wet things seems to be an issue for us at all hotels

I enjoyed the stay all together, it was a little pricey, but we were upgraded so I felt we got our money's worth! Fantastic staff and beautiful facility!
I think that the room fee was a bit high.

We chose the Hyatt House because it's adjacent to Emeryville Amtrak station where we had a train to catch at 9 a.m.. The Hyatt however is an excellent hotel , aparently recently refurbished (it seemed like new to us), and we enjoyed everything about our brief stay there . The breakfast is very good indeed with everything that any sane person could want available in plenty.We'll certainly consider staying there again if we return to the area.

I have stayed at this hotel, formerly the Woodfin, several times before. It is the perfect location for me and I love the suites, the balconies, the windows which open, the lovely kitchens. It is like having a perfect tiny apartment for as you long as you stay there. My Bay Area friends find it easily, parking is free, food is at hand or close by, and the suites are nice for entertaining casually.
There are things that could be improved, but nothing I don't like.

Staff were extremely courteous and professional.
They accommodated me promptly with my request when necessary.
I would have loved to check in prior to 3pm it feels as though I missed a part of the day especially with my location at the hotel.

Staff were very friendly and on point with information.
Yes, my request was for a room with a view of the Bay. That was not so my view was of the toll booth. I don't consider that as complying with my request.

The easy access to the freeway and closeness to the shopping area were very convenient.
The breakfast buffet was a pleasant surprise with its wide array of choices. It was kept stocked and very neat and clean.
Also, we had a maintenance issue in our room, and it was promptly dealt with by the staff.
The downside of the hotel is that the Emeryville train station is directly behind it. Our room was in the back of the hotel, so the traintracks were, literally, outside of our room. Train whistles woke us up disappointingly every morning. When we complained at the front desk, they offered to move us, but the only rooms available were single bedded, and we required 2 beds for our family.
Also, the only way to reach the fitness room was by going outside to a separate small building.
