Food, entertainment, ambiance, and staff.
The bed was extremely uncomfortable. Deep sag in the middle. Steps
bringing in luggage and carrying to the room. Had it not been for Henry I don’ know what we would have done.

We had an area in the lobby for visiting, bar, upscale restaurant, entertainment, (Ottmar Leibert) all at the Strater. Once we arrived we didn't have to leave. Shopping and other food choices were within walking distance. The hotel provided a nice morning coffee bar just outside our room on the third floor.

The Office was a great bar and Nick was wonderful! The room was great and comfortable. We love it and plan on staying during our next trip to Durango.
The parking situation was challenging to say the least. Otherwise, there are no complaints.

Convience to just about everything. And the fact that you still have "Bellboys" The dining room breakfast was terrific, but the bar dining left a few things to be desired.

This was a wonderful place to stay in Durango. It's full of character--looks like an old Western hotel, yet beautifully kept up. Very clean and comfortable. Good breakfast in the morning. Fun Western bar on the premises. All-in-all a great experience. Would definitely stay here again!

Charming hotel with attentive staff. The Diamond Belle is a fun place to grab a bite and a drink.
I do not like having to park in an untended, ungated, gravel parking lot. Especially since rowdy college students roam the area everytime I stay at the Strater.

Ein schönes historisches Ambiente mit einer tollen Stimmung im Saloon.
Dazu freundlicher, schneller Service mit ordentlichen Speisen zu moderaten Preisen.
Die Frühstücksauswahl ist bescheiden, aber das ist in dieser Gegend nicht ungewöhnlich.

The location and the historic nature of the hotel
The restaurant was overpriced and the food was nothing special. the breakfasts were less than mediocre. the OJ and coffee were great, however!
the bed was lumpy and soft.
