Oxford Suites Yakima

The wine/beer reception was great. Breakfast was good as well. We enjoyed our stay.

Very friendly and kind staff who were super accommodating with all of our needs.

The hotel is a great place. I have stayed there in the past which is why I chose this particular hotel. What I didn't chose is to book my reservation through Travres which is an affiliation to Expedia. I didn't even realize I had booked through Travres-Expedia until I had cancel my room due to a family emergency. Hindsight, I should have looked at the charge on my credit card bill closely. Travre-Expedia should be avoided as I consider it fraud. Their webpage looks exactly like that of Oxford Suites so it is misleading. I now understand why I NEVER received a hotel confirmation. If this particular survey is linked to this fraudulent company, who according to the google complaints is based someplace in South Africa, do not use them. AVOID them at ALL COST. My suggest to fellow travels, call the hotel directly, get a live voice so you to are not scammed!

Great (peaceful) view of the Yakima River. Very well appointed and clean suite.

Nicely landscaped. Attractive view from suite looking out over the river. No traffic noise. Coupons for complimentary drink and treat from hotel convenience store.

The Bistro. Pretentious menu that didn't deliver. The gaucamole burger was a runny mess - it had to be eaten with a knife and fork it was so overloaded with guacamole paste. The garnish of a nugget potato and sliced apple pieces was a bizarre and unfilling complement to the burger. (According to the waitress they "didn't do fries".) About 1/2 hour after order was placed went to see whether it was ready. It appeared that the order may been ready earlier but was just sitting there waiting to be picked up as burger wasn't hot. Complimentary salad was bland bowl of lettuce. Disappointing dinner after a day's drive and worst meal of trip which included stay in Portland. Overpriced at $10.00. We could have got a better and cheaper combo up the street at the Burger King.

The staff were very helpful. We had bikes on the back of our van and they let us park in the covered front area next to the hotel van. We appreciated this accommodation.

Comfortable and quiet room

Too many people sitting around the bar, made it difficult to get the bar tender's attention.
