Capitol Hill Hotel

The hotel is great. The staff was helpful and friendly. The morning breakfast always hit the spot. I would definately stay at Capitol Hill Suites again and recommend it to my friends.

Very Convenience to go to the attractive area in Washington DC

Despite the ongoing renovation I really enjoyed my stay. Biggest concern was the complete lack of HVAC system. The unit in my room seemed to be activated only by a new wall switch, when on it blew out 95 degree air, when off it produced nothing. The fan would not run independently and I could not change the air temp--so room was very stuffy. I like it cool in the evenings so I tried opening windows but it was raining quite hard. You should not rent rooms that do not have a functioning HVAC system.

We stayed in a junior suite in the older building, where I have stayed many times before. One of the bathtub knobs was detached from the wall, the toilet at times ran constantly unless the lid was lifted and the interior plumbing adjusted, and the cleaning staff did not leave shampoo initially. After we requested shampoo, that was fine. I stay at this hotel because of the location, but given the state of the rooms, the price should be lowered.
