Dinner ok

So glad you asked. Here's my story. My granddaughter and I went to hear Cara Luft at the Vernon Lodge. Grand daughter had never been in and was so impressed with the dining area, and asked if we could ever stay there. Of course we could...her birthday was this week so I booked a stay. We intended to use the hot tub for sure. We waited for a kids party to be done and we were then too lazy to go down...that is no problem. BUT we could hardly sleep later as there was some kind of party going on until at least 2:30. I mentioned this at the desk when we checked out and they asked if we phoned down to complain. Unfortunately, I'm not a complainer and I did not...certainly wish I had. I assumed staff would have heard the noise.

They took payment when I books, not when I checked in.

We had eleven family members there and Sat. evening had a great time sitting around outside a couple of the rooms and visiting. A very lovely place and the restaurant staff was very friendly and helpful.

Front staff mbr Meaghan was awesome. She helped so much to make middle of the night check-ins go smoothly

Would have liked to kniw ahead of time that there were renovations going on. Was noisy during the day

The room was in immaculate condition.

The lobby could use some upgrading.

This is the most under rated hotel we have ever stayed at. We were in town with our two Granddaughters ages 3 and 7, what a delight it was to watch the wonder through their eyes. They could not get enough of the WARM POOL, twinkling lights and ACTUAL REAL river that flows through the center area. The food was good and great service all around. The front staff were quick at check in and offered their GREEN room special of $10 off per day for no maid service. I for one am a fan of this, we very easily walked down to the ladies in the am, returned our dirty towels and received new ones, coffee and anything else you would like with a smile.

Convenience to amenities . Atmosphere, quiet. Was used mainly for sleeping since spent days with family in town

Liked all things did not use many of them, just the pool

The staff at the front desk was very helpful and courteous at all times. And, the hotel was pet friendly.

A minor issue, because the hotel was pet friendly, I would have liked to have seen an area to walk the dogs, other than a parking lot.
