Sugar Beach Resort Hotel

Most everything. The room had everything a person could want.

King size bed needed new mattress. Hollows on each side while middle was firm.

The room was great, the bed was comfortable; it was clean. The pool was lovely and quiet while we were there. Parking was close by. Breakfast was good with lots of variety. Nice hotel; we would stay there again.

Lights were not on in the pool and the depths were not marked clearly so you could see them because the water was so high. I almost hurt myself jumping into the shallow end. Also, staff were slow to respond to problem in pool area of drunken guests who brought glass bottles of wine into the hot tub and pool area.

Nothing like being on the beach on Grand Traverse Bay from your room. Indoor pool and hot tub were nice. Everything was very well kept and clean. Nice breakfast area. A good easy location to get too.

Friendly staff. Large, comfortable room. Nice pool. Good cold breakfast buffet. Located on beach and close to many restaurants and attractions.

Our room heater seemed to make more noise than it should whenever the heat turned on.

The price was cheaper because we stayed in April. The view was great looking over the bay.

We went for breakfast on April 4 and there was a mother with 4 boys eating and one of the boys was shouting at the mom to shut up. The mother also yelled shut up to the boys and they were arguing very loud and it was uncomfortable to the rest of us sitting in the breakfast area. The employee that was working the food bar was a girl maybe college age? She never said anything to the mother about keeping their voices down or asking them to leave if they needed to have some family time. I felt bad for the other familes that were trying to eat and have to listen to this mother and her boys. They were very inconsiderate to the rest of us. Felt like the hotel employee didn't handle this situation very well.

The beach was nice and there were plenty of chairs available. The rooms were comfortable and clean.

We were disappointed that all the Christian channels on the TV were blocked. We enjoy those channels and ,yes, I suppose there would be someone who might tell you that those channels offend them, but all they have to do is not watch them. That is what we do when we come upon channels that have things on them we don't like. It is easy to change the channel. So, give that some thought.
