It's an excellent place to stay before returning to Great Britain because of its accessibility to the channel and north sea ports. Also it is quiet, comfortable and well run and the food is excellent. It seems that the hotel has been redecorated and refurbished since we last stayed in it.

I have visited the hotel at various times and over a number of years for both pleasure and work. The food has always been simply fantastic with service to match. I have never had a bad experience and would recommend staying here to anyone. The only criticism, and this is a very minor one, is that bottles of wine tend to be expensive however the price does reflect the quality but it would be nice to have some cheaper ones also.

The staff were extremely friendly and polite. Everything about the chateau is relaxed and inviting.
We had a slight problem on check in. But this was resolved.
