Main reason for choosing Hilton Garden Inn Springfield: Location
Not one to complain, but not recommending this hotel to anyone.
Should not be rated 3 stars, service was poor, room was dirty, power went off during the night and again in the morning. Had to shower in the dark. Did not receive our complimentary breakfast (know the power was out, but they should have at least set up coffee and rolls, fruit, something!). Did not receive any compensation for the extreme inconvenience.

Check out was at noon.
Very dissapointed! The bathroom was gross. The stopper in the tub was broken an dirty. The handle in the shower was half way on so the corking was coming off. We didn't even use the shower because it was gross. We didn't have cable channels, and the remote didn't work. There was a lady with a huge dog at the ck out counter that scared me to death. I was going to call to complain but why bother? They won't do anything. It was HORRIBLE!.

The evening deck person was very nice. And accommodating when we informed him our heat wasnt working.
The hotel overall needs to be renovated. Paint and wallpaper was peeling. Shower fixtures were hard to use. The tv is old and the some channels were inaudible. Not worth the price, considering the Howard Johnson down the road was less and has rooms that have been renovated.m

Front desk staff was very helpful, courteous, and friendly.
Stayed 4 nights. Puzzled that there was no bathmat in the room so I used a towel. Came back to the room on the second evening and the room had not been serviced. Went to dinner and on return it was still not serviced. Next evening the room had been serviced, and it had a bathmat, but no handtowels. The first morning I found that the "free breakfast" was a joke. Cereal and danish and OJ but NO COFFEE! I couldn't believe it. We ate out the rest of the time.
