PARKROYAL on Beach Road, Singapore

Compared to all well-rated hotels that i've ever stayed? Nothing.

1. The service from a ladystaff in front-office was not so professional (a bit rude & impatient) when being asked about the reason of room upgrading when i called and request for an explanation(ie. Customers were not being well informed upfront - when checked-in) 2. It took more than 3 calls only to get a pair of slipper in my room. Such an amazing service! 3. First time checked-in, 2 bottles of evian were not there and I had informed frontdesk abt it, but only till the last minute (when I was about to check-out) the staff did the cancellation. Conclusion: I didn't see my infomation/concern was properly and seriously actioned. Hence, what's the point I talked to the frontdesk staffs (btw, I informed this to 2-3 staffs in diff time before) if they didn't action?

Compliment upgrade to executive room when there is not enough room for the type I booked.

Dusty, the bathroom door is spoilt, the room is not properly cleaned up and maintained during house keeping.

I like the friendliness of the staff. They are professional in their services to us too. I also like the Spa within the hotel.

The location was good as a starting point for sightseeings especially with the cheap taxi rates. It was great to find a taxi at any time in front of the hotel. The swimming pool had a good size and was great for the whole family. We also enjoyed the spa facilities. The break buffet offered a nice variety. Thanks for the interconnected rooms, this was great for our family with three small children

The noise from the building site next door was disturbing at the pool during day time. The mattresses were too hard. Snacks and drinks offered in the room were too expensive. The pool bar could have offered more snacks so we could have lunch at the pool with our children.
