Charming period hotel with nice details such as in-room sitting area and kitchenette. Great location. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Overnight parking rate of $30 seemed rather steep for guests; we found street parking but had to feed the meter by 8 the following morning.

The location is perfect for us. We attended a concert @ Key Arena. Lot of good restaurants near by. The rooms are quiet and good size. All of the staff were very helpful.

Pleasant staff. hotel had old world charm
I reserved a room with 2 queen beds + sofabed. We are 3 women travelers. We didn't have the sofabed but was promised a discount which we did not receive. The room was close to the bar as well as the street front therefore quite noisy.

Great and helpful staff. Great location. Wonderful cafe, grocery store and restaurants nearby. With the big kitchen, we were very happy to eat in. Loved the charm and vintage feel!
We had more room than we knew what to do with, so if you are traveling with a family, this is a GREAT spot. Breakfast was lovely and perfectly adequate but I was disappointed there were no sweetroll/coffeecake or cereal other than instant oatmeal.

Main reason for choosing MarQueen Hotel: Location
The location of the property is terrific, close to everything but not too close at the same time. Definitely walkable to attractions, resturants and a market. The history of the building is well displayed throughout the property and adds charm. The size of the room was unexpected (it was really spacious), and the bed was very comfortable. The architectural elements (vaulted ceilings, crown moulding, hardwood floors, dual staircase) only add to the experience.
The new windows really suppressed the traffic noise which was a pleasant surprise.
There was a musty smell (not unpleseant, just really noticeable)throughout the room. Also, the room needed to be more thoroughly cleaned, mostly the hardwood needed to be swept out from under the furniture (lots of dust bunnies!).
The layout of the furniture in the room was unfortunate, and could be improved to add a homey feel to the property. More area rugs should be incorporated into the room to mask the footsteps on the hardwood fllors.
