Historic Santa Maria Inn

Great staff. It was our second anniversary and the staff went out of their way to make us welcome. Wonderful!!!

The entire hotel was simply great. We really like how pet friendly the hotel is. We plan on staying again. Great hotel!

When we checked in we thought we had reservations for in the tower & didn't so the gentleman behind the counter said no problem we will upgrade your stay to the tower at no charge.....Room was great & very friendly !!

I stayed there for 2x nights and liked the hotel cleanliness comfort rooms and inner and outer decoration. Worth the price I paid.

Front desk needs more help

The beds were super comfortable, we were in one of the older rooms, but everything looked like it had been recently re-done, including the carpet. Good flat screen TV, microwave, fridge - and plenty of room. We were in the Doris Day room, I recommend it for a couple of friends sharing a room.

Loved the spaciousness of the room and the comfort of the bed, especially the pillows. Liked the view of the pool and the convenience of the garage parking with the elevator as we arrived back at the hotel quite late and didn't know if we'd be able to find a space. Would like to come back and use more of your facilities as they look great.

We had 4 plumbing problems which were fixed right away but we couldn't help thinking that this had just happened with one previous guest. They probably did not alert you. But no hot water in the bathroom sink, two plugs that didn't work and a faulty nozzle on the bathtub hot water faucet.

I enjoy the comfort that Santa Maria Inn provides, such as the cleanliness, comfortable bedding, decor, friendly staff and the gentle spirit from the other side keeps it exciting in room 255. FYI, I always brag about my stay at the Inn and always recommend it to my friends for a romantic weekend getaway.

It would be nice to have a sitting area around the fireplace. This would add further enjoyment of the feeling Santa Maria Inn offers. Buffet setup starts early.

It was our 23rd Anniversary, celebrating our honeymoon at Hearst's Castle, Highway 101 and San Francisco in 1988. Every hotel in Santa Barbara was sold out for some reason, so we were amazed that your hotel was a best kept secret. We were in the Clarke Gable/Carol Lombard room with the private balcony and loved it. We were thrilled to learn that so many famous people had stayed there. Your restaurant's food was excellent and we received a complimentary anniversary dessert. We loved how your historical hotel was newly refurbished and, when friends asked about our weekend, we told them about the Santa Maria Inn. Room rates were extremely reasonable. Highly recommended to all our friends and we will definitely stay there again on future 101 trips. Bravo!
