The 6 inch step in the bathroom required to get to the potty, is a broken hip waiting to happen. Never rent that room to anyone over 40. That is a huge accident waiting to happen in the dark of the night.

The portal for cocktails is lovely. The bed was comfortable . Gruet tasting room was a bi=onus

The peace and quiet in this lovely, European atmospheric, hotel, but most of all, Janel, Kristen, and Neal: what a professional, friendly staff. Kudos!

We always try to stay at the St. Francis when we visit Santa Fe. Love the location, the hotel and the ambiance. The staff is always friendly and helpful.

We love the ambiance of the hotel and have stayed there in the past. Location is great. The staff was very attentive to us at check-in. And later when we could not get our key to work the room door, one of the staff was nearby and offered to return to the front desk to get it rekeyed. Awesome customer service.

Well, our room we could hear the neighboring shower like it was in our room. We were on the third floor, end of the hall way facing west.

Cold and Heartless... I have stayed at the St. Francis for many years and have always loved it's charm and quaintness. No longer. The purchase by Heritage Hotels and the major renovation have sucked the life right out of the place. If you've ever wanted to stay in a monastery, this is the place for you. Decorated all in taupe and grey, the entire hotel is dull and lifeless. Don't plan on reading in bed because the only bedside light is a flat sconce centered more than four feet above the beds. Did I mention the $18 dollar per day penance for bringing your modern car instead of riding in on a burro? OK...you might like this decorating style, but no one likes poor housekeeping. The rooms are fine but the entrance way is an embarrassment. In the past, you could sit on the lovely front porch, watch the people go by, while sipping a margarita or iced tea. During our visit, the bar tender wouldn't allow us to have a glass on the porch -- we had our iced tea in paper cups. 24 hours later, the cups were still sitting there and the porch was dusty and littered with trash. The next afternoon, the lobby was decked out in candles and covered seats in preparation for a wedding. As the wedding guests arrived, "Reserved" signs were placed on one half of the porch. After the wedding guests were seated, hotel staff rushed out and began vacuuming and sweeping the porch, but ONLY the half reserved for the wedding guests. We got to keep our dust and trash on the other side. After the ceremony, the wedding guests congregated on their side of the porch and began hoping for drinks. Those hopes were not quickly realized, as there was only one server. No extra staff for the wedding. No drinks for us regular hotel guests. I never saw a more disgruntled bride! This was my last visit.
