The staff was exceptional. They seemed to go out of their way to make sure we were happy and well taken care of...even following up with a call to make sure we had gotten something we had ordered. This was also the first time we had join in on the evening reception and it was both fun and relaxing. Very nice. We will definitely stay there again!
The carpeting looks a bit tired. Maybe it is time for a replacement?

Really great hotel in San Rafael. Great accommodations, attractive lighting and lovely lobby. The daily breakfast was superb. Best of all were the front desk people: cheerful, ready to help and great directions.

We like the spaciousness of the 2room suites. The breakfast is excellent. We are never at the hotel to avail ourselves of the complimentary evening reception but think it is a very welcome feature for guests. We feel the public areas are very nice and the staff is very courteous and helpful. Very comfortable beds and pillows. Excellent value for a good price. We used to stay at the holiday inn express in Mill Valley. But they have increased their prices considerably for, in our opinion, an inferior property to Embassy Suites.
The room furniture and rugs could use an updating. They look tired.

LARGE ROOM, QUIET, GREAT BREAKFAST, BEAUTIFUL PLACE
WE STAY THERE A LOT, LIKE 20-30 NIGHTS PER YEAR. FREQUENTLY THE BATHTUB PLUGS DON'T WORK. MY WIFE LIKES TO TAKE A BATH, BUT THE WATER LEAKS, A LOT, ALL DURING HER TIME IN THE TUB.

The spaciousness of the room and the atrium made the whole experience feel easy. The location close to the Marin Center and the Lake, ducks, walkways etc felt like we were part of a park.

They gave us a Handicap Equipped room which we didn't want and said they didn't have any other room available not happy about that at all!!!
