My wife and five traveling friends from Tokyo recently stayed at your hotel. They were most impressed with the view from their rooms, service, convenient location to public transportation, and food. They found the architecture to be charming and accommodations to be comfortable and relaxing.
But, (there is always a but) after a full day of sightseeing on one of the days, they came back to the hotel to find one of the three rooms had not been made up yet. That was remedied quite quickly with a call to the front desk. And on one occasion when attending the breakfast buffet, they were asked to pay a "tip". My wife and friends are well traveled and understand the nuances of tipping (though there is no tipping in Japan) so I'm not sure if they understood the situation called for a tip. However, I don't think it's polite for one to ask.

The exterior grounds are beautiful. The staff was responsive and kind. The blowdryer in my room didn't work, I called the front desk and had a new one within minutes. I needed a ride to a nearby hotel where my conference was being held, the shuttle driver dropped me off. Very nice customer service.
The room decor is dated but overall the experience was a good one.

We enjoyed the Offrenda in the lobby and especially appreciated the Pan Dulce that was available. The pool was wonderful and each of the staff we met was helpful and charming.
We were there for 3 nights but did not get 'cleaned' on the 2nd day. We also could have used more shampoo.

This was a gift for A couple celebrating a birthday. I was not there. They said they had a great time the room was wonderful and the location great. They never ventured out of old town said they loved it there
