Peaceful retreat set in pleasant gardens 15 mins from the town centre by car.Plenty of secure open air parking
Although the food is of a high standard, most Brits would prefer a simpler option if staying multiple nights.

Food was excellent although the menu became a little repetative for a week long stay as there was no change to the published menu at all.
Coach parties or large groups tended to be always down for early breakfast and as a consequence greatly restricted the choice of available food fot later breakfasting guests.
The substantial hedge at the rear of the of the hotel was rather untidy and badly needed trimming and detracted from the smart appearance of the hotel

The comfort of the room
The person on duty at breakfast which removes all my table (plate of bread, cutlery, cup of coffee, while I went for a second helping of fruit juice at the buffet .. very nice lady but a little more attention to my table and my presence would have been welcome (there was no crowd in the dining room as well).
