Main reason for choosing Delta King Hotel: Reputation

The ambiance was unique and the location next to Old Sacramento had many options for the evening. The restaurant on the Delta King was excellent for breakfasts and for dinner!
The Claw-footed tub was difficult to step high enough over and into to use the shower. At least, I did not feel it safe for me. A more agile person would be okay with it.

Great ambiance, on the river, comfy unique rooms. The food was beyond amazing and the staff all over went above and beyond to make us comfortable and welcome. This was our third stay at the Delta King, introducing visitors, and would do it over and over again. The included breakfast was unbelievably good!

Location, location, location. Staying on an old river boat was cool too. We had tickets to the Rivercats, walked to dinner walked to the ball game perfect!
Pillows were terrible, bed was comfortable.

The Delta King is living history. It's a darling old riverboat that sits on the Sacramento River. The rooms are small and the beds are not supremely comfortable, but it's pretty and quaint and a great place to sit out at night. The dinner I had in the bar was really good. The dining room for breakfast in the morning is open and sunny; again with great river views and the food is great.
The people who work in the bar are ridiculously inattentive. The bartender and two waitresses were totally absorbed in their conversation with each other. The bus was the only one who looked at me and then he would get their attention for me. Each time they seemed completely surprised that I was there. This is a small room of about ten tables, so it's hard to miss a customer.
