Main reason for choosing Holiday Inn Rock Island, an IHG Hotel: Reputation
1)Desk clerk was not very knowledgable about the area. Directions to a few places were on little tiny pieces of paper. No decent maps available. 2)No continental breakfast, just Bennigan's. 3) Not much around the hotel, a coffee shop and a bar across the street.

My husband accidentally left the lights on in our car and our battery was dead on Sunday morning. The lady at the desk immediately got us the hotel repairman who promptly jumped the vehicle, not more than 10 minutes from the time we found out that we had a dead battery until we were on the road again. Awesome service.

Location next to Augustana
The beds suck, it was like sleeping in a deep V. It was very noisy, sounds from other rooms and hallway could be heard clearly all night long. Bathroom had hair and garbage on the floor from previous guest. Desk clerk told us about the discount for Augustana but because we paid on line, made no attempt to correct it or in any way compensate for it.

the only thing i liked about the Holiday inn
close to my final destination
I understand there was some remodeling going on but i felt with the pool being closed during some of the hottest days of summer their should have been a reduction in price! i had to have my room changeed do to the fact that the paint was peeling off the bathroom door. my room was changed and the clerk put me right next to the elvator and the ice machine!
