Newly renovated rooms. Friendly and helpful staff. Very comfortable beds. Wish we had more than one might there do Kidz could have had time to enjoy the pool!

My daughter goes to U of R so it was close to where she was that was good.

The beds and pillows were extremely uncomfortable!!

Our room was clean and spacious. Our internet connection worked well. We enjoyed the menu and our breakfasts at the Bistro and loved having our newspapers and Fox News on the TV.

Our experience at Rochester’s Marriott courtyard Brighton was,for the most part, uneventful. However, there were two incidents that were unpleasant. When we arrived at the front desk we were asked for our credit card in spite of the fact that we prepaid. We were told that this was for “incidentals” that we might incur during our stay. We were charged $20.00 that would be removed if there are no incidentals. We have stayed in many hotels; some of them five star and never had such an insult. To us, this implied that we would use a service and than silently steal away, in the early morning hours without paying. If you must refuse to trust your guests, than build it into the room price. The second incident was in the pool area. A group of young girls, all screaming at the same time took over the pool, leaving us little or no room for swimming. It was a birthday party for one of them. We believe that the tiny pool is no place for that sort of a gathering, unless you rent it out and close it to the public. We selected your location because it was near our class reunion and we met friends there. I don’t think that we will ever stay in a Marriott hotel again.
