Location and historic value. The Vertex was a pleasant plus.

The friendly staff,Marvin & Raz, The restaurant , room service, location . Its home when I am in Rapid.

Paking is tough - but, it is what it is and the valets are so efficient.

Liked the historical aspect. Room was nice. Loved the Vertez!

Elevators sometimes didnt work right or at all.

The reception staff was generally very personable & proactive when you get their attention; only feedback is they tend not to greet customers nonverbally when a guest is approaching <10 feet away. Having grown up in the Midwest I don’t mind myself but this is a consistent gap to help you along. They were able to check me in way ahead of time which was exceeding The bell staff was generally prompt & willing with bags & the car. I think I tipped $50 in just one day. Having been a bellmen myself 20 years ago I can say despite it looking like it’s about processing bags & cars it is more about attitude & 75% of the team passed the test. Outstanding The keurigs are a nice touch in the room & 2x2 kcups exceeds The roof deck staff was very high performing, polite, & maintained a great environment The business center maybe looked a little sad at first impression (& the right chair needs to be replaced because it lists to the right) but was perfect for what I needed & the desk staff was very helpful in orienting me The bathroom fixtures & finishings were well done. I didn’t notice if you had a placard for guests to save on your laundry costs & water use by reusing their towels but I think that just needs a placard. The hotel had more amenities than I readily found. Maybe their was roomservice for example & I would have used it but it wasn’t clear it was an option.

The gym was a little undersized & the ceiling was too low for men my size; I couldn’t run on the treadmill but I ran outside The bartending staff at Paddy’s let some patrons get way too drunk, one drunk guy stared at me for 45 mins, & pushed two chairs into me while I sat there working on my laptop. The door on room 700 doesn’t close entirely without a tug; not sure if some new sheething could get there; while I’m fine with it I think many people find privacy a priority & if the door doesn’t close when you close it -

Staff was both professional and pleasant.

I purchased this room as a gift for my daughter and son-in-law. They loved everything about it, especially the 100 year old nostalgia of a great hotel.

We loved our room it was so comfortable for my sister and myself. Totally loved the Vertex Restaurant on the 10th floor the waitstaff was wonderful, the food was delicious, and the bartender made awesome drinks! We really enoyed sitting out on the roof looking out on Rapid City at night so relaxing. Also being able to go to Starbucks in the morning was nice, that made our stay relaxing and memorable. Also stopped in at Paddys, our waitress was excellent.

Didn't care for Paddys, but our waitress was excellent.

Very simply, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would come again.

Great location! Easy to get to dining, shopping, park and farmer's market. Hotel, restaurant and coffee shop were friendly and helpful.
