Ramada by Wyndham Trenton

The hotel was easy access from the 401 highway so convenient for travellers. Lobby was clean and staff was very friendly and accommodating. We had a 1 double-bed room but had an extra guest add-on at the last minute so used the pull-out sofa. There was no extra charge for that and the sofa bed was clean as well as clean extra linen for that use. We really liked the fact that the sheets for the sofa bed as well as the double bed were long enough to tuck in at the bottom and also plenty of extra on the sides. Extra pillows were also provided. The breakfast provided was pretty much what most hotels provide - waffles, toast, bagels coffee, tea and various croissants, etc. When we asked if there were any more croissants when we arrived and there was only one left, within minutes an employee came to our table with a whole tray of various small breakfast buns as well as more croissants. That's what I call customer service. Also have to mention that we have stayed in many different hotels, but this room had the quietest air conditioner that we have encountered - including in much more expensive hotels!! Bed and pull-out also provided very comfortable sleep. We would stay again.

The only complaint (which we spoke to the manager about) was that even though our room was clean and comfortable and obviously fairly newly decorated, the bathroom needed some care. The bathtub was old and looked dingy and there was mold on the tile grout around the tub as well as on the floor beside the tub. A renovation of the bathroom would be in order.

The Bed.

The fitness Room was dirty, the hallway where our room was located. The key to open the side door, you had to swipe it many times. The hair dryer holder came off the wall or off its hook, and the air conditioner was loud.

We took a tour of the RCAF museum, which we found very interesting. The restaurants were within walking distance also.

Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was great and the food very good. The only thing that I was a little disappointed in was when we booked a party of 20 for breakfast, it seemed like there was no extra help for the kitchen so that everyone could eat together. Only one person at a time was served and quite a time between each order. The food was hot and excellan otherwise. Thanks for the good stay. We would stay again. Regards, Mary McGrath.
