The hotel is beautiful.
I asked for two quiet rooms. Our rooms were above the courtyard, and a bit noisey. I had read about this and thought I'd get a more quiet room. However the room was lovely.

The hotel is very picturesque with a nice staff. The rooms are clean and roomy. I believe the price is comparable to most elegant hotels in Mexico; great location.
There is no sound insulation to speak of. Events from the patio below are always noisy, and the sounds from the kitchen area don't end until midnight and start up again at the crack of dawn. Mexico is a country of many sounds, so if you're seeking total quiet, this wouldn't be the place.
