Shilo Inn Suites Hotel - Portland Airport

Comfort after a long road trip.

Very friendly staff!

Steam sauna and 24 hour access to pool and sauna's. The free breakfast was nice and the restaurant/bar on site was nice. The woman who checked us in really set the tone for a good stay, she was very nice.

Decor a bit dated, seems like it was 1989.

The rooms are always great abd the staff always very helpful I am a repeat customer and will continue to be so.

I made reservations thro a third party on line but never received an email confirmation. I called the hotel as we were driving to it to check on reservations. They had not received the reservation but assured me that they had a junior suit for us. Very nice. I enjoyed the shuttle to PDX. Wonderful food at restaurant. Beautifully decorated. I will be your guess again!

I was there with my husband for my 50th high school reunion. The facility is lovely and it was very convenient to be staying right where the 2-day event was held.

We were awakened in the middle of the night by the sounds of water so loud that I got up to see if the shower in our room had burst. It must've been a shower in an adjacent room, but those have to be the thinnest walls we've ever heard of to sound so loud it woke both of us up!

Price, comfort, very quiet, room location was as I requested.

The only reason that I rated Staff less than excellent was a problem beyond their control, but felt I should have been informed at check in not having to rely on a notice in the room. Traveling all day we were not aware that Portland was on a no drinking water ban due to an Ecoli scare. There was a notice in the room telling you that except the notice was only at the vanity in the room. Upon entering the room I went immediatly to the A/c controls than ran the water at the wet bar for a quick drink of H2O. Only when I went for ICE and all the Ice machines were marked "out of order" did I ask a security guard where I could get ice did I find out of the situation. Customers should have been informed at check in. The ban was lifted the next day, bottled water was given out, and I am still living. I stay here quite often and the staff always has been friendly helpful and courteous.

There was an error on my part when placing the reservation and the front desk could have been a little more helpful in resolving the error.
